This is a consulting position working onsite Freddie Mac to support and build a new trading risk management system. Position will be part of an Agile team that is responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting a new trading risk management system. Position will monitor daily job execution , review trade risk reports and ready to resolve issues individually or coordinate with the right subject matter experts to get the issues resolved promptly. Position will also be participating in Java coding for new functionalities to the system.  Successful candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.  S/he must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to work effectively with other developers, traders, business analysts and infra-structure support personnel. Ideal candidate would have computer science and programming background with training and interest in finance.

Qualifications:

• B.S./M.S. in computer science/engineering, financial engineering or related field with 1+ years of working experience

• Programming experience with Java, SQL or a major programming language in Unix/Linux environment is required

• Experience working with a relationship database such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL server is a must

• Experience with EXCEL VBA is preferred

• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be detail oriented , mature, dependable and willing to work hard

• Must be a quick learner and able to pick up necessary technical skills and financial knowledge quickly

• Finance and Fixed income knowledge a plus

• Passing of CFA level 1 a plus

• Software application operation and debugging experience preferred
