zulily is looking for a data-driven Search Marketing Specialist with a passion for the online retail space. The search marketing specialist is a key role on the zulily acquisition marketing team, responsible for meeting new member acquisition goals.
The Search Marketing Specialist will be a contributor in tactical search marketing campaign management and execution in an effort to grow our paid search business, working alongside a number of internal and external partners. This role includes responsibility for a variety of SEM tasks including testing new strategies/tactics, overall program maintenance, regular reporting and data analysis. This role contributes to zulily's success by intelligently deploying our marketing budget in high ROI opportunities and acquiring high value customers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and execute tactical search marketing campaigns to deliver against business goals
- Ability to navigate complex bid environments and maximize campaign profitability on an on-going basis
- Deliver a data-driven, quantitative approach to search marketing; using metrics to measure success and create feedback loops to adjust bids across an ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability to optimize campaign keyword lists, creative, offers, landing pages, etc…intrinsically understanding that developing and maintaining a strong “quality score” is critical to success.
- Operate in a continuous test-and-learn environment in an effort to build and improve the search campaigns and drive keyword expansion
- Conceptualize and initiate tests (keyword bids, ad copy, offers and landing pages) in order to continually improve key metrics (clicks, leads, conversions) across campaigns
- Support the day-to-day relationship with external partners such as Google to advance the sophistication of our search marketing program and trial new product/platform features and approaches
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 - 2 years of related experience or comparable educational background;
- Some experience in email marketing or e-Commerce preferred; willingness to learn required
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid analytical experience and aptitude; passion for using data to make decisions
- Skilled with MS Excel; experience with HTML and SQL a plus
- Desire to think out of the box and identify creative solutions
- A team player
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Results driven
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or other related field
