Description
The Wireless Hardware Applications Engineer (AE) enables OEMs to design, manufacture, qualify, and certify wireless subsystems using Marvell's radio ICs.The AE will work on leading edge wireless technologies in a fast paced environment. This is a hands-on position with the following responsibilities:
- Review, tune, troubleshoot customer PCB designs
- Collaborate with internal and external software teams to develop and qualify automated testing solutions for PCBs
- Support deployment of testing solutions in factory environments
- Resolve complex system level integration issues
- Characterize, benchmark and tune system level performance
- Publish application notes and design guides
- Provide direct technical support to top tier customers
- Perform failure analysis on units returned from the field
- Train Field Applications Engineers (FAEs)
Qualifications
MS Electrical Engineering. Minimum GPA requirement: 3.5/4- Strong background in RF, DSP, computer system architecture, networking (wireless LAN, Ethernet, etc), PCB design
- Experience with one or more modern wireless communication systems like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with many of the following instruments: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, bus protocol analyzer (SDIO, PCIe, USB) , spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, vector signal analyzer, and other RF test instruments (R&S, Litepoint, Anritsu, Agilent, etc)
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of C programming language is a plus
