About the Job

• Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis and then empower state-of-the-art analysis and machine learning algorithm for analysts, scientists, and engineers.
• Evangelize an extremely high standard of code quality, system reliability, and performance.
• Extract and transform data from existing data stores, perform ad-hoc analyses, and report analysis results.
• Define and implement processes and procedures on analytical projects to ensure consistency.
• Assist managers with finding patterns and relationships in data.

About You

• 2+ years of industry experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data on medium to large sized Spark/Hadoop Cluster.
• 2+ years of industry experience in Scala or other functional programming language, 4+ years of combined hands-on experience in Scala, R, Python, Java, or F# and the ability to write reusable and efficient code to automate analyses and data processes.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure especially Azure will help you hit the ground running.
• Experience with writing Kafka producers and consumers is a huge plus.
• Experience with Spark Streaming and Spark SQL in a production setting is a plus.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
