What You'll Do

Site Reliability Engineers at Palantir build reliable infrastructure so that our forward deployed engineers and product teams can focus on building products and solving our customers' hardest problems. We work directly with product and forward deployed engineering teams to understand what they need to get their jobs done, and automate our solutions as we go. We care deeply about the availability and security of our systems, and configuration as code is our tool for ensuring it. Our platform is the foundation for Palantir's work detecting insider trading, improving disaster relief, fighting fraud, and more.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience managing and securing Linux-based systems and networks at scale.
• Coding/scripting fluency in at least one language and a drive to automate away problems.
• Track record of successfully deploying and managing configuration management systems.
• Desire to see features through from development to deployment in production environments.

TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

• Languages: Python, Go, and Java
• Systems Management: Terraform, Docker, and Puppet
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
• Linux: CentOS (6 and 7)

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years minimum in a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Strong developer with a scripting language (e.g. Python or Ruby)
• Experience with Linux systems from the kernel level and up
• Extensive experience with configuration management solutions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple partners
