Hands-on position to design, develop, and implement scalable e-commerce and subscription platform. This includes developing and maintaining different components of order management and fulfillment, payments, and more.

The work:

• Collaborate with a wide range of teams to deliver compelling user experiences

• Develop a reliable, flexible e-commerce platform for Nest's online store

• Manage projects which include payments processing, order fulfillment, analytics, delivery scheduling, and supply chain operations systems

• Develop test frameworks and operational tools for the services you create

• Work on user-facing products like e-commerce store, subscriptions, coupon codes, vouchers, gift cards, etc and developer-facing features like in-app purchases and in-app subscriptions which run on a very large scalable, high-performance, multi-tenant capable e-commerce platform

Minimum qualifications:

• BS/BE in Computer Science or related technical field

• 3+ years of relevant experience

• Understanding of multiple programming languages (e.g. Scala, C/C++, Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Bash)

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related

• Comfortable working on Linux-based systems

• Demonstrated JVM experience

• Familiarity with one or more common web frameworks (e.g.Spring MVC or Play), and frontend web development

• Demonstrated experience with high-load systems

• Effective written communications skills

• A passion and curiosity for creating and building things

• Thrive in a collaborative team with other strong programmers/architects

• Experience with Hybris, ATG, or Websphere Commerce

• Hands-on experience with commerce, payment processing, order fulfillment, or other monetization-related platforms including ad serving technologies
