Mentor’s responsibilities include:

-Mentor students on creating academic/career plans, set S.M.A.R.T goals and make sound career decisions

-Share up-to-date career focused knowledge and skills, assign tasks and projects that will help students to land a future job, evaluate students work when complete

-Provide ongoing coaching to help students to develop crucial skills such as problem solving skills,time management skill,effective study technique, social and networking skills

-Mentor students on developing self-awareness, build confidence and challenge them to grow beyond their perceived limitations

-Assist students to polish resume and cover letter, practice interview skills

-Mentor students on creating a job searching strategy and provide them necessary resources to achieve

-Attend one-hour mentor meeting per month per student

NOTE: while mentor is performing responsibilities, mentor is independent from MentorX, and has the freedom to make decisions regarding to specific mentoring services as long as mentor obeys the rules and guidance issued by MentorX.

PROFESSIONALISM & RESPECT

MentorX maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding all forms of discrimination, harassment or abuse.

Non-discrimination

It is unacceptable to refuse to provide or accept services based on a person’s race, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, gender identity, age or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal or state law. This type of behavior can result in permanent loss of access to the MentorX platform.

No inappropriate behavior

Mentor and clients expect each other to act appropriately and respect boundaries. It is disrespectful to make derogatory remarks about a person or group. Furthermore, inappropriate behaviors include but not limited to commenting on appearance, asking overly personal questions, making unwanted physical contact and other behaviors prohibited by law or MentorX or both. Anyone who solicits or engages in sexual conduct while using the MentorX platform may lose future access to the platform. We encourage you to be mindful of other users’ privacy and personal space. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated.

Compliance with the law

Illegal substances and - unless explicitly allowed by law - are not permitted when performing the services.

MentorX prohibits the use of the platform for any illegal purposes. Mentor agree that hold harmless the Company and all of its officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, demands, prosecutions, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, damages or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) whatsoever arising out of or in connection with Mentor’s illegal actions, conducts, behaviors and language, either verbally or orally.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY AND RELIABILITY

Mentor hereby expressly release and waive any and all claims, suits or demands for (including but not limited to) personal injury, death, property damage or other loss against the Company, to the fullest extent permitted by the law, whether arising out of or in connection with the mentoring services.

Mentor further agrees that Mentor shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Company and all of its officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any claims, demands, prosecutions, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, damages or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) whatsoever arising out of or in connection with Mentor’s acts, omissions, conducts, performance, discharge of duties as provided herein.

EXCULPATION OF LIABILITY AND RELIABILITY

Mentor hereby agrees that given the nature that mentor has the freedom to make decisions regarding to specific mentoring performances, MentorX is not responsible to any claims, demands, prosecutions, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, damages or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) whatsoever arising out of the any acts or speeches from mentor. Mentor is liable and responsible for his/her own acts and speeches.

Mentor hereby agrees that his/her specific acts or speeches do not immediately represent the position and opinions of MentorX or what’s over, unless confirmed by MentorX.

Mentor hereby agrees that any violation of the rules set forth by MentorX will result in immediate termination of this agreement; and mentor is liable to any claims, demands, prosecutions, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, damages or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees) whatsoever arising out of such violation.

PRIVACY AND NON-DISCLOSURE

Without the authorization of MentorX, mentor shall not disclose any privileged communications and information to any irrelevant third parties, including but not limited to agents, brokers, students and any other parties that are not affiliated with MentorX.

EXLUSIVITY

By signing this agreement, mentor agrees that MentorX shall be the only company that mentor contract to perform the said services above. Mentor shall not provide the same or similar services to any third parties without the authorization of MentorX.

-请导师根据学生所选专业,个人简历,成绩单及学生主观意愿,帮助学生分析当前行业,职业发展方向。例如,学生未来发展领域,就业职位,及相应领域和职位的主要工作内容和职责。

-导师对学生的辅导是持续性的,希望导师能够尽快掌握学生情况以便后续为其制定详细辅导规划和计划。

2. 根据自身的经验帮助学生制定学术、职业与实践计划

-根据2­-3次辅导对学生的深入了解,帮助学生制定一个长期的,阶段性的辅导规划,包含学术、职业与实践三方面,帮助学生一步步实现毕业后成功步入职场的梦想。

-根据学生的未来发展方向和领域,在学术方面建议学生选择对于职业发展有利的课程,包括校内课程以及其他网络课程等。

-根据学生的未来发展方向和领域,在职业发展方面建议学生是否应该考取相关职业执照/证书,以及何时考,如何准备等等。

-根据学生的未来发展方向和领域,在实践技能方面为学生提供实习或项目的建议。

3. 为学生分享最新的职场信息和所需技能,并针对这些信息给学生布置相关任务,评估任务完成情况,以便为学生求职提供帮助

-导师根据学生阶段性发展情况,在每次辅导结束时需要布置相关任务给学生,主要目的是提升学生的职业技能,学业学术能力和技能实际运用能力。

-导师根据学生任务完成程度及各方面发展进度和情况,在系统中做出每月评估及打分,打分和评估情况同时也会同步出现在学生的账号中,以便学生和家长及时了解情况。

4. 辅导并帮助学生培养学术与职场关键能力,如专业学习能力、问题解决能力、时间管理能力、快速学习能力和人际交往能力等

-导师在每次网上辅导应最大程度引导学生朝职场所需能力方向培养,例如给学生说明选修何种课程或者参加什么活动对职业发展有利。

-导师可以推荐学生阅读一些有关职场的课外书籍,以加强职场竞争力。

-如果条件允许,导师可以在视频见面时考察学生的问题解决能力和时间管理能力等。

5. 帮助学生修改完善简历、求职信等求职文件

-导师根据自身经验和多年的职场经验帮助学生修改完善简历。例如:如何根据职位要求撰写简历,以及简历排版的注意事项。

-导师根据自身经验和多年的职场经验帮助学生修改完善Cover Letter。例如:Cover letter的格式和重点。

6. 帮助学生准备面试

-导师根据自身经验和多年的职场经验帮助学生分析面试具体流程,常见问题等。

-与学生分享面试时的小技巧,以便提高面试成功率

-如有需要,导师可根据情况帮助学生做一次Mock Interview

7. 帮助学生制定职位搜索策略,为其提供相关的人脉或资源以便帮助学生进行求职内推

-对于毕业在即的学生,导师可以帮助学生分析哪些职位是可以尝试申请的,哪些是申请成功率较高的职位等。

-带领学生参加networking event,包括行业峰会等,以此来丰富学生人脉,增加内推机会。

-如果学生的各方面能力达到导师要求,导师可以酌情利用自己的人脉为学生进行内推。
