Data-as-a-Service at Workday:

Workday unveiled Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) recently at Workday Rising 2016.  DaaS extends the analytical power of Workday in an innovative new way and satisfies what customers have been asking for.  With DaaS, customers have the option to contribute their Workday data, in an anonymized and aggregated fashion.  The anonymized and aggregated data is provided back to customers as useful metrics and trends representative of the collective customer community.  There will be several components to this offering over time, starting with best practice benchmarking that lets customers uncover insights around organizational performance with peer comparisons.

Description:

Workday has a software developer position open for a highly motivated development team that is focused on building a new product that will leverage Workday’s true cloud architecture to reflect Workday and industry benchmark data back to our customers.

Required Experience:

• A passion for learning software development

• Have demonstrated the ability to quickly pick-up new technologies and languages and are motivated to understand various technologies used at Workday.

• Curiosity in data and a strong desire to continuously improve.

• Team members must have an ongoing interest in new technologies and techniques that can improve our services.

• Proven track record of test driven development & automated system testing.

• Interest or experience in one or more of the following is advantageous: Scala, Akka, NoSQL, Kafka or Zookeeper experience.

• UNIX or Linux experience.

• Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields.
