We are looking for someone who can leverage their deep technical knowledge, passion for solving real-world business problems and dedication to innovative thinking to ensure Expedia continues to be the technology leader in the corporate travel space. The candiate needs to enjoy software development, collaborating with others productively and providing and receiving feedback continously. They will know or learn how to develop on ServiceNow, to deliver simple to complex solutions, while considering all aspects of how that solution is monitored and maintained by operations. Last, this position can require the candiate to work with the larger ecosystem of Expedia Inc. They will need to have good communication skills to work with our internal customers in local and remote locations, without travel.
General Responsibilities
- Work in an Agile Scrum development environment, attending and participating in standups, grooming, sprint planning, demos and retropsectives
- Design, develop, debug, and modify components of ServiceNow
- Provide alternative solutions to a given problem
- Working with others and independently, can resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if required
- Follow through on details and drive issues to closure
- Document procedures for installation and maintenance
- Actively participate in group and individual reviews to critique work of self and others
- Work collaboratively with all team members
- Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components
- Participates in and provides input to requirements definition
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS or higher in Computer Science or Enginneering, Information Technology or other related field
- 1 to 2 years work experience in a software development environment
- JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, XML
- Angular, Bootstrap
