Description of position The EQA Tools Integration Developer is responsible for developing, implementing, administering and supporting multiple industry-standard and custom QA tools. The role includes providing direct technical support, training and mentoring to our large community of geographically distributed end-users. Successful candidates will implement, support and administer geographically distributed infrastructure supporting test automation with the support of the Costco infrastructure teams. The EQA Tools Integration Developer role is to plan, develop, coordinate and support tools integration to support the QA needs of the division. This role requires a mix of development and support activities. The qualified candidate will display a passion for delivering a high level of end user support, the ability to debug code, and create high quality development deliverables.
Tasks and responsibilities Provides system and end-user administration of multiple Quality Assurance and Automation tools. Provides end-user support, mentoring, and training on multiple tools. Generates and maintains tool usage documentation. Advocates for established tool usage standards, policies, and processes. Continuously review and assess the QA tool infrastructure, make recommendations, develop proposals and implement authorized changes. Provides ongoing development and integration support for tools. Establishes performance metrics and tracking mechanisms, including but not limited to, compiling usage / performance metrics and producing reports. Helps to mentor and develop other members of the Tools and/or QA teams. Produces weekly status reports for assigned tasks. Collaborates with multiple teams across the organization. Tools evaluation and documentation and presentation of findings to executive teams. Assists in other areas of the department and company as necessary.
Required skills, abilities, and certifications Willing to work on tasks ranging from user support and infrastructure maintenance to complex software development. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills. Willing to collaborate with other EQA Tools team members to share knowledge and skills. Experience in Two or more of the following areas with a willingness to grow in to the others: Provide 24x7x365 on-call support, as necessary. Work weekends and/or holidays, as necessary.
Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications Experience troubleshooting and problem solving distributed / cloud applications. Knowledge of SQA methodology and the SDLC. Project management experience including scheduling. System design / architecture experience helpful. Experience with multiple Costco business areas/systems.
