Job Title: Financial Analyst

Blackstone’s Real Estate Fund Accounting group is responsible for the administration of all activities and the oversight of all aspects of tax and financial reporting for the Blackstone Real Estate Partners funds (“BREP”) and its underlying investments.  The group is also responsible for preparing various reports for BREP investors.         

Job Description:       

The successful candidate will:

• Be responsible for fund level cash activities by entities including monitoring daily cash activities and cash reconciliation
• Be responsible for workpaper supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Record journal entries for capital call, distribution and fund level activities
• Prepare quarterly and annually fund partnerships’ GAAP financial statements
• Prepare GAAP capital account allocations and reconciliations
• Update hurdle rate model for distribution process and prepare distribution schedules and coordinate all wire transfers to investors with Treasury team
• Be involved in quarterly close for BX and all fund level partnerships
• Assist in various investors’ requests
• Be involved in all system migration and implementation                              

Qualifications:          

• 2 - 3 years of public accounting experience (Preferably private equity experience)
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Possesses a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Excel
