What you'll be doing…

We are creating a next-generation platform for highly interactive data analysis and rendering, that will have a significant impact on the future direction of the data visualization industry. The team you will be working with is entrusted with ensuring the functionality and integrity of the various components comprising the Runtime platform, owns the planning for the overall quality and stability of the desktop and server products as we transition existing features to the Runtime, as well as the developer experience of building & verifying new features on top of the platform that we create. Some of the things you'll be doing include...

• Analyze product code (C++, Java), to understand areas of risk and complexity to provide optimal test coverage
• Create, improve, and maintain new and existing frameworks (C++, Python)
• Create and implement strategies to effectively test the feature in isolation, and as part of the product, across a variety of platforms
• Interact with members of multiple teams in a technical and evangelical capacity as you help the company transition to the Runtime
• Help drive a Test Culture across the entire company

Who you are...

• Experienced. 1+ year of experience testing and profiling large-scale C++ systems and highly scalable Java server systems that back dynamic, highly interactive experiences. Experience testing on Windows platforms, with experience testing on multiple platforms including Mac and Linux.
• Highly Technical. You love writing things that "just work" - things that are robust, scalable and that perform well. Good understanding of C++ and Python, as well as programming experience with Java, Javascript and css/html. Strong knowledge of development and test tools.
• Passionate about Quality. A love of testing, tuning and analysis through a rigorous scientific approach.
• Self-Motivated. You do good work and the drive to deliver is just a part of you.
• Team Player. You enjoy collaborating with, learning from, and teaching others so we all can become better. You assume the good intent in others, and actively do your part to create a positive work environment.
• Customer Focused. You want to learn about customers, their challenges & scenarios and you find satisfaction in shipping quality products that delight customers.
• You have high standards, and your personal software practices ensure you deliver high quality no matter what. You believe in constantly releasable quality, iterations, design for testability, and you build your own tools & techniques to achieve high quality and low cost of support. You deliver better results through using quality practices every day, and you even have taught or influenced others to improve their practices.
• Educated. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
