Position Description:

Okta provides comprehensive user management integration to and between 3rd party services such as Google, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, AD, Workday and Box. Universal Directory is the heart of Okta's Identity Management service and enables a swath of integration capabilities. It combines an extensible and flexible cloud-based directory service with a modern, elegant and intuitive consumer grade user interface built on top of the latest technologies in web user interface. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, review and troubleshoot UI software
• Analyze/Refine Requirements with Product Management
• Work with engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts
• Design and implement modern and intuitive web based user interfaces
• Interface with UX, QA, Technical Support and Documentation teams

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

• Solid experience with one of the major Javascript MVC frameworks (Backbone, Angular, Ember, React, etc.)
• Working experience with HTML and CSS, including the ability to work around the nuances of the most popular browsers
• Understanding and appreciation for TDD
• Good grasp of software engineering principles and practices
• Prior experience working on other UI technologies (e.g. JSP) highly desirable
• Prior experience with or understanding of REST (or designing API’s) highly desirable
• Experience with Java or other strongly typed languages a plus
• Experience with any of the following is a plus: directory services (AD/LDAP), network security, encryption, authentication and authorization

Education and Training:

• B.S. Computer Science or related field (MS/PhD a plus)
