Westlake Ventures is looking for a social media/editorial intern, learning and helping with the social media platforms (mainly WeChat, website, and other platforms). 

Westlake Ventures is a Silicon Valley based innovation service platform promoting communication and collaboration between Chinese and American start-up companies and financial institutions. With the Hangzhou High-Tech Investment Management Ltd, a FoF (Fund of Fund) of nearly one hundred venture capital firms and enterprises, being our parent company, Westlake Ventures is uniquely positioned to access the resources provided by various Hangzhou based venture institutions. We work closely with Hangzhou based venture capital firms, investment institutions, multiple industry funds of public companies, and government funded innovation centers in sourcing deals, sharing Silicon Valley industrial trends, raising funds, connecting and collaborating with American high-tech startups and financial institutions.  

Duties:

1. Help with digital marketings, editorials(Chinese and English);

2. Research topics related to entrepreneurship, investment and etc. 

3. Draft articles for WeChat and other marketing purposes

4. Translate  content to Chinese

5. Publish WeChat articles

6. Support event planning 

7. Other relevant tasks of Marketing and Communications 

Requirements:

1. Student（at least junior) or recent grad

2. Great writing skills in English and Chinese

3. Detail-oriented 

4. Research and editorial skills 

Preferred background: 

1. Communications/ Journalism/Literature or other relevant majors

2. Previous editorial experience(planning of feature, bilingual editing experience in Chinese and English) 

3. Social media addicted 

4. Sense of humor

5. Great communicator and teammate who is also capable of working independently 

6. Light creative experience (design, photography or other relevant field)
