About the Job
The Social Media Specialist(intern) reports
directly to the Social Media Coordinator for daily duties. In this role, the
primary objectives are to create social media strategies, track social media
campaigns using data and analytics, and create and curate content for social
networks.
The
ideal candidate for this position is a competitive self-starter and educator
who has a pathological desire to be number one. The ultimate goal of the Social
Media Specialist is to amplify our brand voice and expand our brand image by
increasing both engagement/non-monetary metrics as well as website traffic and
ROI.
Requirements
- In order to best fulfill the requirements of the Social Media Specialist a candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related or creative field
- a demonstrable grasp of social media in both a professional and personal sense, with a fundamental understanding of the difference between the two
- a strong familiarity with social platforms and tools, as well as individual preferences of platforms, along with the audience demographics and best use of each
- Having the ability to multitask while staying organized is imperative, as well as a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must, as well
as familiarity with native platform analytic tools, Google Analytics, and other
social media tools such as Sprout Social, HootSuite, Buffer, Later, or
Sprinklr.
