The Ads team at Tumblr is a new engineering team that allows engineers to be creative and build new features and products for Tumblr. The team works super closely with senior level engineering leadership, and they will have a voice in regards to the innovation and development of their respective platform (Android, iOS, Web). The team will be working on numerous projects including PMD esoteric support, a self-serve platform for creators to push their own content out to Tumblr, and innovative partner programs, i.e. running ads with user's content via Youtube. This is a truly unique opportunity to build new features and services to further connect not only brands with users, but for users to share their content throughout Tumblr and the rest of the world.

Android Engineers

A test-driven testing perspective; or at least an affinity for it

Strong Computer Science/Java background (or comparable experience in native Android app development for both SDK's and UI elements)

Exposure to new Android technologies i.e. RxJava, Lollipop framework, etc.

iOS Engineers

Swift and Objective-C programming expertise

Experience building native iOS applications

Strong Computer Science background is a plus!
