Major Responsibilities:
• Lead communications efforts around two key pillars: 1) ensure impacted employees and relevant leaders are well informed & engaged throughout the change journey; this includes transition to the new site, as well as post-move and 2) help build a sense of community among the business units to foster a collaborative and energetic working environment.
• Develop and implement a robust, ongoing employee engagement plan, in partnership with the respective business units, to ensure consistent internal communications & engagement opportunities for employees.
• Manage the change management needs associated with the employee journey to the new site.
• Identify opportunities to enable an agile and innovative culture across the business units -- through company communication channels, leadership, and process and policies adopted by the site leadership team.
• Ensure internal messages and communications are clear, relevant, consistent, credible and timely for all identified internal audiences (i.e. within San Francisco and across the wider AstraZeneca group of companies).
• Provide regular and ongoing strategic counsel to local senior leaders on internal communications related to the move.
• Direct the strategy and day-to-day management of internal communications channels related to the move, coordinating across business units as needed.
• Develop related internal resources as required, such as tool kits, images, materials, messaging, etc.
• Organize related site-events as required (i.e. social events, town halls etc.)
• Develop and implement appropriate metrics that evaluate the success and impact of internal communications strategies and initiatives, including employee feedback to allow continuous improvement of the actual communications and the messages as well as to take the "pulse" of the employees for the site leadership team.
• Closely partner with the Project Manager, local leadership, global and unit communications leads – including external communications, government affairs, HR, facilities management and other stakeholders as required.
• Ensure pull through of prioritized global communication campaigns, with channels established to enable unit campaigns to reach targeted audiences
