POSITION SUMMARY:
This position offers the right person a unique opportunity to cross-train through all facets of Sales Finance through a series of rotations in Division Sales Finance, Field Sales Finance, Strategic Pricing, and Trade Analytics. After completing the rotation period, the role will evolve to fully dedicated Sales Finance leader with financial oversight of either specific customer teams or division teams facilitating key decisions related to sales and trade, with a focus on ensuring profitable growth and adequate return on promotional investment. Financial oversight includes trade spend review, forecasting, reporting, detailed event level planning, and ad-hoc customer/division/category analysis, with an emphasis on maintaining sound financial controls around trade spending.
The successful individual will have a strong finance and/or accounting background, superior communication and people skills, the ability to learn quickly, a solid understanding of Nestlé (or CPG business) and the ability to deliver high performance work both within a team and independently. The Key Performance indicators are sales volume, real internal growth, organic growth, trade, and profit. The key quality indicators are trade management, forecasting and customer service.

- Initial rotation and training will occur in Glendale, CA Corporate Office
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Trade Fund Management
- Lead monthly business review meetings, to review Sales and Trade forecast and identify major issues vs. goal. Follow-up on resolution and next steps
- Develop Goals (planned, preliminary, revised) with CSD by Customer and Region level by Category
- Complete monthly and annual calendarized trade forecasting for the MBP/DF process by division and category. Provide Trade forecast details and variance analysis to the division co-pilots for monthly dynamic forecast.
- Lead the incremental program review process in the MBP meetings. Complete detailed financial analysis of all programs monthly, and provide recommendation to division if the programs should be approved.
- Work closely with Trade Analytics team on Post Promotional Analysis and collaborate with CDAMs/CSD to drive promotional profitability improvement.
- Provide ongoing training and leadership on financial issues for areas of responsibility. Attend team meetings and make presentations to team.
- Support monthly and year-end close trade fund requirements
- Trade fund management/ set-up
- Participate in trade promotional reviews, and provide insights on trade strategy changes
- Provide ISW support and analysis as needed
- Work closely with sales teams on day-to-day business issues
- Participate in annual and mid-year planning. Support the Trade Spend Efficiency review of the plan roll-ups, and Volume Build template analysis
- Actively participate in the Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process by working with Marketing, CSD, Sales and Demand Planning to identify trade risks and opportunities
- Perform monthly financial business close duties and analysis
- Perform annual year end close and analysis
- Support internal and external audit requirements
