Associate Project Manager II
Summary: The Associate Project Manager will own and lead small projects from concept to on time completion utilizing project management methods; additionally, support the team by managing project tools and operational tasks for the PMO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Own the planning and implementation of a small program/project by building detailed project plans which include timelines, testing, and training plans.
- Leading cross functional project team meetings, and create scorecards to communicate project status while escalating risks and concerns to the project steering committee; in addition, support the Sr. Project Manager on these duties related to larger projects.
- Responsible for clarifying the business requirements that are in scope and out of scope for specific projects.
- Partner with the related Business and IT teams to identify the required project resources.
- Ensure project schedules effectively allocate the resources.
- Prioritize project tasks for project teammates.
- Responsible for ensuring key stakeholder alignment on all aspects of projects.
- Apply project management principles, establish tracking metrics, and deliver commitments to the business on time and on budget while minimizing risk.
- Support the change management process and own the communications plan throughout the entire cycle of a project.
- Execute the day-to-day management of the PMO project review board process.
- Manage Operational tasks such as creating and sending status reports, hrs entry, meeting notes, upkeep of accurate information in project management tools
- Own maintenance including upgrades of project tools.
Technical Attributes of Ideal Candidate: include but are not limited to the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-5 years’ work experience in a high-growth dynamic operating environment, with 1-2 years in project management roles
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools/software
- Comfortable with language barriers or constraints; bilingual language skills are a plus
- PlanView Knowledge is a plus
- Travel approx. 15%, dependent on the project
