Position Summary:
Advise international students about F-1 student regulations to ensure their compliance with the regulations and assist the students in obtaining the immigration benefits to which they are entitled. Represent the University as a Designated School Official. Support department's shift to an online environment and paperless office.
Advise international students on personal, social and cultural adaptation concerns. Play an active role in organizing and implementing International Student Orientation, International Education Week, workshops, trips and activities for international students.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years of directly related work experience OR Master's degree and one year of directly related work experience. Directly related work experience must involve work with significant numbers of international students (non-US) in a post-secondary academic setting.
Must be an excellent teamplayer. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and strong customer orientation. Outstanding detail-orientation, ability to multitask, and ability to retain composure in fast-paced environment. Demonstrated intercultural skills and first-hand experience in a multicultural setting.
U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency required, as mandated by federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an International Student Office at a U.S. college or university. Demonstrated knowledge of F-1 immigration regulations. Significant overseas experience (e.g. Peace Corps, study abroad). Experience using Sunapsis.
Salary Range: $44,530-$51,000
